Under this program, TMOF tries to provide safe and clean water to the community through the installation of bio-sand water filters, provision of life straws and sinking of deep-water wells. In 2006, having realized the prevalence of Malaria and Typhoid to be as high as 40% in two of the schools the children we are supporting are attending, TMOF carried out situational analysis and sent a report to some of her development partners. Since the underlying cause of the problem was unsafe (contaminated) water, TMOF recommended the use of life straws, bio-sand water filters and the construction of deep-water wells.
